hey hey pple! the blog is really officially dead! hahahaa.. let me revive it! :P
yeah and i'm feeling quite pleased with myself now cos i actually still remember the password! (omg genius at work. haha)
yup most of the guys have went off to ns (except for js of course :P) so girls, it's our time to havoc!!!! hahahaha sorry i'm feeling quite crazy now. thanks all who made the crash-0h'07-ubin-trip such a fun outing for me and everyone else :) hope u pple enjoyed it as much as i did! i really miss ubin from the boat ride to the insect repellent/ coil to the frequent bicycle accidents to the test of endurance as we attempt to cycle through mud puddles and cycle up steep slopes. hahaa oh man shall we make this a regular thing? maybe can add some overnight bike hikes along the year! :D and my ultimate frisbee!! when are we playing soon? :) yep and i think we shld use this blog more often, since all of us get busy with our own stuff and this can be a platform for us to update one another on what's going on in our lives!

tts the sandcastles the pros craved out using the sand we piled:)
hehs. on sat the whole day we were piling sand. getting buckets of water. making mud pies (mixture of sand + water) and flattening the sand.
tiring but uite fun. haha.
den on sun we started making our own sandcastles :)
not easy. den me n alice redid the wall n the "toothed" edges dunno how many times larh.
btw the sandcastles are made using the molds they provided.
but its not easy. esp when i'm so clumsy. >.<
but anw after doing for q a few hrs dey made us pack up.
it looks nice :) but kind of empty. cus we v little pple.
the back of the snad castle has more details. anw here's our final product...

my first time blogging here! =)
atc'06 is over.
an eventful day when my feelings seemed to ride high on a roller-coaster.
it all started with running sessions 3 times a week. at least 4 km per session. lazy zi yang refused to train=p 1st to rush to play frisbee, but last to be budged successfully when it comes to running. haha.
the big day then arrived. everyone was full of anticipation of wad lay ahead of us; excitement was in the air!
built a catapult for the 1st checkpt. It was lame. duh.
happily, we rushed off to pasir ris park with no inkling of wadeva surprise awaiting us...
when we reached, ta-da! we realised we lost our passport! worry seized our hearts. though we would possibly be un-ranked, we still bore hope tt ade's team would find it.
nevertheless, were busily congratulating each other upon knowing we were the first inter-school team to arrive! were thinking our sense of direction not bad indeed. lol.
high all the way to the kayak checkpt until another bad news came crashing down upon us.
we missed the abseiling checkpt at century square! @#*^%
it was realli.. oh my god! couldn't believe our bad luck. feeling damn rotten at tt pt of time. NO WONDER we were 1st to arrive. lol.
but it was quite comical when we thought back abt it.
it was ultimate suayness day. doubly un-ranked now!
bad as it was, we decided to go on for the sake of the 32.5 bucks each paid. we were bogus competitors then!
kayaking to ubin was fun!=) 3 mths since the last time we kayaked...
trail cycling was..wah seh! shiok! sam & i took turns to crash. lol. was trapped in this tangle of twigs + foliage. had a hard time getting my bike out! the ride down the slopes was funnn!! =) WHEEE..
switched with zy n gordon to do river-crossing next. ahhem, it was a diff kind of experience i must say! lol.
had to cross this patch of soggy oozy squishy murky-black mud. eew. the moment ur hand went in, it will get sucked all the way down! was rather traumatised but glad all the same cos it had been fun! got a real element of adventure, not like running or brisk walk. tsk tsk.
climbed a shaky ladder from the waters to the platform, after which we had to cross 2 rivers. super shiok feeling of swimming through the lukewarm waters!
indeed, there's still much for us to explore in ubin. =)
our shoes were FULL of gravel & mud after tt. sam was commenting tt he seemed to be carrying 2 big sandbags! lol.
ziyang got cramps while crossing the river. gordon got it during kayaking. uh-oh. but they continued on!! kudos to the two!
then, 4 of us returned to jelutong beach when the in-charge told us everyone who was still in ubin would be un-ranked from tt pt of time. oh well, no pt telling us tt. lol.
so..we kayaked at a leisure pace back to prp.
then..we walked at a leisure pace back to tampines mall. was literally pushing zi yang all the way! lol. he teh-ed throughout the long march..cannot stand him!
but glad he was there to entertain us =) made the long trudge bearable...
commentator: '' here comes another team limping their way back! congrats!" super malu larr. everyone staring at us as we made our way to the finishing pt!
but the feeling was great. shagged as we were, we completed the race together! =)
congrats to ade huiwen juli n jing sheng for doing so well! u guys did hwa chong oac proud! zai zai zai!! =D
though a series of unfortunate events happened to our team, im glad we nvr gave up.
despite losing passport, we gained a sense of satisfaction.
despite giving abseiling a miss, we realised the importance of teamwork.
despite suffering multiple injuries n pain, we healed each other's sense of loss n despondency by cheering n telling jokes n toking abt chio bus seen at the event (LOL).
it may sound cliched, but i still want to say: we did it! integration rocks! =))

harlow! im finally here to blog again!! haha..the last time i blogged was last yr?? hmms..
ehh 1st we shld announce tt there's such a blog to all metas pple!! someone like jingsheng is so blur to only chance upon this blog after a yr..hmms..but not bad larh..at least he managed to chance upon it..=))

booo!! yltc06 is over~~ and it's like really OVER..oh man..so sad..like the biggest event in oac..we prepare so much just for this event larh...attending all the different level courses..pm-ing for all other events..just for those 5 days..and it's like over so fast!!!! =((( i am already missing it! actually i miss more of yltc05..looking at the juniors remind me of tt time last yr..haha..ours ended on 16 march..(lol i not so zai as to rem the date larh..read it from sam's blog..) arnor..tt was the time we really went thru thick and thin...quoting sab, " when we chiong we chiong tgt." i miss those times..can we be a trainee again? although i was dreading the campfire tt nite when the seniors came back..eap looking at U NOE WHO..but when we were given counts and were called to assemble in roll call positions, it just brings back all the memories!! though tt only lasted for a while..

ehh i suddenly love oac alot!! i cant bear to hand down to juniors..haha i duno why but i suddenly want oac to be on everyday!! hmms i was telling alot pple today how much i like oac..lets see..i told gordon sab juli jingsheng alice..haha..we only have one more official event to organise..tts ATLANTIS!! ok we will make it ROCK! right SAM and MEIXUAN? lalala..it had betta rock sia..then there is bike hike..shiwei said last yr no one cared bt bike hike except oics cos they say unofficial..but we wun let it happen this yr larh..last event of oac leh! booo..

erh. yeah im finally blogging. first aid chief here to revive the blog wahaha *CPR*

oh was a damn good experience! despite the horrible crap we had to take, the yltc-ness of it all, miscommunication and the rain, i think the main thing was: it helped us bond closer as a batch. haha.

thanks oh i/cs for being so committed and for pulling off something this big! :D

hello everyone.

this is like the first time i came here to be honest! so cool. nice template. =D

anyway, have lots of things to say all of a sudden. will die if i dun say it out. heh. feel grateful to a lot of people and regretful for all the hiccups.

first. like to apologise for all the unclear instructions to cause all the confusion during the grand entrance and the running of the programme and the plastic boards, my indecisiveness for the torch materials, the disappointment that there wasnt any dry ice, the lack of communication, uneven distribution of work and stuff. really sorry. glad to have this chance to learn and hopefully grow from here. =D

really want to thank everyone for all the hard work they have put in to make this investiture fun and entertaining for all. special thanks to tsewei for coming back to help us emcee the whole thing, though at sometimes felt that we shld have gotten another emcee, thought he felt a little left out at times and so felt bad. thanks loads to weijie for her constant reminders and her liasing with the seniors which really helped us a lot. really vv grateful to her for finding all the details that i have left out and providing so much help with the message sending, puzzle message writing, coordination of the programmes, etc! and papa also for putting in so much effort with the video! the animations were so wonderfully done that i feel vv bad for your late nights and my helplessness. thanks to steph for all her encouraging and calming words when i was so worried. it was really nice of you to just offer help every single time. and sab who took so much time putting in ff songs into her mp3 but in the end didnt manage to play it, mark who spent a lot of time thinking up of ideas for the torch, and alice for being so sweet, jingsheng for offering to buy lunch, the non-perak people for their hard work making the souvenirs which really looked vv cool and the banner which was really vv pretty, huiling and weiqi for bearing the brunt of my indecisiveness and didnt know whether to buy the cake or not, people who mopped the floor while i was being selfish doing accounts and gordon for sticking through all the tough jobs like writing the script, ziyang and chuanwei for their videotaking etc. know this is just belittling what you all have done coz each and every of you have done a lot and i'm just naming so few.

really touched that this is sort of our first official project together since the voting and it has gone relatively well. really happy that we could work together. though there were some problems like the falling nels board, think it was really fun. thanks for the wonderful memories! =D

woohoo .... sentosa rawks !!! though only like 12 ppl went ... actually when e later grp hu reach there which is me gordon huiling yayan ... 5 ppl just nice need to go liaoz ... haha ... so in e end only left 7 of us .... which are like e 4 of us n gracia weiqi xingyan ... but nvm !!! coz we still had lotsa fun !! like playing ultimate frisbee where me gracia yayan thrashed huiling gordon xingyan 6-1 !!!!! hahahha .... we rulez =p den we oso 'tried' to play volleyball lah ... haha so funny ... den yayan huiling gordon n me even play uno when xingyan gracia n weiqi were soaking in water ... haha ... so long nvr play uno liaoz ... in e end obviously e 2 pawnees first two to complete lah ... yes obviously =p=p den nava was next to win ... so left hu arh ????? hmm ... diu lian ... haha =p=p=p so here are e pics found in my cam ... enjoy ! btw somebody kope my $5 orange frisbee =( oh ya ... we are going to iceskate next next sat !! tis time all must go arh ! haha

A long time ago in China, a girl named Li-Li got married and went to live with her husband and mother-in-law. In a very short time, Li-Li found that she couldn't get along with her mother-in-law at all. Their personalities were very different, and Li-Li was angered constantly. Days passed, and weeks passed. Li-Li and her mother-in-law never stopped arguing and fighting. But what made the situation even worse was that, according to ancient Chinese tradition, Li-Li had to bow to her mother-in-law and obey her every wish. All the anger and unhappiness in the house was causing Li-Li's poor husband great distress.

Finally, Li-Li could not stand her mother-in-law's bad temper and dictatorship any longer, and she decided to do something about it. Li-Li went to see her father's good friend, Mr Huang, who sold herbs. She told him the situation and asked if he would give her some poison. So that she could solve the problem once and for all. Mr Huang thought for awhile, and finally said, "Li-Li, I will help you solve your problem, but you must listen to me and obey what I tell you. Li-Li said, "Yes, Mr Huang, I will do whatever you tell me to do". Mr. Huang went into the back room, and returned in a few minutes with a package of herbs. He told Li-Li, "You can't use a quick-acting poison to get rid of your mother-in-law, because that would cause people to become suspicious. Therefore, I have given you a number of herbs that will slowly build up poison in her body. Every other day prepare some delicious meal and put a little of these herbs in her serving. Now in order to make sure that nobody suspects you when she dies, you must be very careful to act very friendly towards her. Don't argue with her, obey her every wish, and treat her like a queen". Li-Li was so happy. She thanked Mr Huang and hurried home to start her plot of murdering her mother-in-law.

Weeks went by, and months went by, and every other day, Li-Li served the specially treated food to her mother-in-law. She remembered what Mr Huang had said about avoiding suspicion, so she controlled her temper, obeyed her mother-in-law, and treated her like her own mother.

After six months had passed, the whole household had changed. Li-Li had practised controlling her temper so much that she found that she almost never got mad or upset. She hadn't had an argument with her mother-in-law in six months because she now seemed much kinder and easier to get along with. The mother-in-law's attitude toward Li-Li changed, and she began to love Li-Li like her own daughter. She kept telling friends and relatives that Li-Li was the best daughter-in-law one could ever find. Li-Li and her mother-in-law were now treating each other like a real mother and daughter. Li-Li's husband was very happy to see what was happening.

One day, Li-Li came to see Mr Huang and asked for his help again. She said, "Dear Mr Huang, please help me to keep the poison from killing my mother-in-law! She's changed into such a nice woman, and I love her like my own mother. I do not want her to die because of the poison I gave her". Mr Huang smiled and nodded his head. "Li-Li, there's nothing to worry about. I never gave you any poison. The herbs I gave you were vitamins to improve her health. The only poison was in your mind and your attitude towards her, but that has been all washed away by the love which you gave to her".

HAVE YOU REALIZED that how you treat others is exactly how they will treat you? There is a wise Chinese saying: "The person who loves others will also be loved in return. God might be trying to work in another person's life through you.

yaye. first to blog (think so). wanted to put this on the metas blog. but i dunno how to use it XP

anw.. it was like WOW! :D not everything went according to plan. some parts were impromptu.. we didnt exactly work in synchro, trying to drown each other out sometimes. but that doesnt matter compared to what we achieved.

we wanted to do this.. make it a success. make sure we put in our efforts and well, you know :) hahaha you know larh. :)

think i can safely say that it was a success :)

anw.. wanna thank many many ppl aka everyone for making ylnite05 a success!

in all the rush and everything.. realized that we forgot to three cheers a lot of ppl..

MARK AND TSEWEI! our wonderful emcees :) cuz both of u were super sporting, such naturals and put in so much into the programme even tho u had other commitments. THREE CHEERS! haha

FOOD AND VENUE! yayan, weijie, xingyan, sabrina, dengsi, edward, weiqi, gordon, yanling, wenjun (super sad he cldnt come!!) all the decors, the yummyyy food (huijie said so!) and the recceeing and last minute stuff.. it was hard getting a place that's formal (enough) and not too ex.. so THANKS!!

INVITATIONS AND SOUVENIRS! huiwen, meixuan, gracia, amy, clara, huifen. woahh. it was all chao1 last minute.. but you all had so little ppl, it was really great lorh.. the invitations were more interesting than last yr's (haha) and the souvenirs got A LOT of xin1 si1. thanks for staying back, everyone to help out!

DANCE! huiling, steph, sam, gary.. hahaa we cheered you all liao.. but you deserve more larh! the dance was ultra sehh. can tell the seniors were SUPER impressed.. maybe i was hallucinating larh.. haha. but it's really super seh lorh.. seh-er than council's one (haha dont kill me) and say kai.. haha. maybe we shld do an encore in sch.. but then poor steph have to lug the cd player arnd.. THANKS STEPH for bringing the cd player every dance session! huiling, gary and sam for coming in spite of other commitments.

last but def not least lorh.. :) PROGRAMMES!! <3! alice, gordon, mark, ade, ziyang, tsewei, liling (another one missing from ylnite :(, huiwen, juli, jingsheng, cuanwei.. ultra seow comm.. and the best at hiding secrets!! all our hard work, staying back late, coming early (to invade my house ahhaa) and making sure everything ran smoothly. all the wonderful ideas.. the sick ones.. doing the prog while everyone ate.. we rock lorh :) esp to huiwen and gordon, pon band and everything.. with syf coming up.. really really honoured that you all think yl is worth that larh.. :) and huiwen's madness.. go home late everyday cuz of oac..
